Before you trust me as the best choice to represent your real estate interests, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I first came to the McCall area as a fourth grader when my father, a forester, accepted a position on the Payette National Forest in 1978. My Idaho roots run much deeper--my great-great grandfather homesteaded in Albion in 1884 and the family has been in the Gem State ever since.
I graduated from McCall-Donnelly High School where I was active in band and student government, and then went on to graduate from Brigham Young University with a music degree in keyboard performance and pedagogy and minors in Spanish and international relations. My primary instrument is organ.
Since returning to McCall in 1994, I have served as the founder and director of the Idaho Academy of Music and am heavily involved in music education in the community. Fluent in Spanish, I also teach Spanish courses for adults and children and work freque ntly as an interpreter. I have led student tours to Mexico, Costa Rica and Peru. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, helping local ranchers work cattle, and relishing all the great outdoor amenities that McCall has to offer. My wife Je ssica and I have three sons, four horses, two cats and a great dog.
My professional life and community service are heavily intertwined. I have served as organist and music director at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, the McCall LDS Ward, and the McCall Community Congregational Church, where I play for services, direct the choir and serve as the director for McCall's free community recital series,
Second Sunday Sounds @ Six
. I have served on the boards of the McCall Arts and Humanities Council, the McCall Music Society, and was a founding member of the Jughandle Musical Theatre Company. I frequently conduct and perform with the McCall Chamber Orchestra and the McCall Chorale. I have also been know to play trumpet and guitar with McCall's Mountain Mariachis.
I am a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), and the American Guild of Organists (AGO). I perform regularly as a recitalist for the Les Bois AGO Chapter. I am a member of the National A ssociation of Realtors, the Idaho Association of Realtors and the Mountain Central Board of Realtors.
